What is the TSI Engine?

TSI or TFSI Engine is the Volkswagen Group’s (Audi, Volkwagen, Seat, and Skoda) turbocharged or twincharged (turbocharger + supercharger) petrol engine that uses Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) technology.

TSI is  a branding acronym for Turbocharged Stratified Injection or Twincharged Stratified Injection, and used by Volkswagen Group companies Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda. Audi models use TFSI (Turbocharged Fuel Stratified Injection) as a branding acronym referring to the same type of engines.
